No Longer a 501 c (3)Public Charity

Dear Community Members,
After thoughtful consideration and extensive discussion, the Board of Directors of Tigard Recreation for Everyone has made the difficult decision to dissolve the organization. As outlined in our bylaws, we have approved the transfer of our remaining financial assets to Tigard Turns the Tide, a respected nonprofit dedicated to educating youth on drug and alcohol prevention. These funds will be specifically designated to support youth activities.
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to our Board of Directors for their dedication and volunteer efforts in advancing our mission. I am confident that our work has left a lasting impact on the City of Tigard, helping to expand recreational opportunities for individuals of all ages.
A heartfelt thank you also goes out to everyone who supported our cause—whether through advocacy, participation, or donations. Your contributions have been invaluable in driving our mission forward.
Sincerely,Marc WoodardPresident

Healthy Lifestyle Change & Wellness Literacy Education

Solutions to mitigate the Obesity Epidemic and related illness and disease
“One third of the Adult Population is Obese, and One out of six children is obese with related illness and disease." In many ways this obesity epidemic has occurred for lack of health and fitness literacy education and afterschool activity opportunities. We intend to coordinate wellness and healthy educational classes and recreational activities run by the YMCA. To help decrease adult and childhood obesity and related illness and disease in our communities.
